Yeah that’s right, I drew this. I think it’d be strange if any Biology major didn’t at least attempt it. I’m probably different though, as I’ve been attempting for a long time now to master the art of drawing twisted-ribbon-like-shapes; attempting to draw DNA just makes that time well-spent. Speaking of well-spent time, my time in Microbiology lecture today was spent drawing this picture. Drawing DNA isn’t always easy though–it takes patience, concentration, overwhelming perseverance, and a large eraser. Folks, this stuff is in the nuclei of all our cells.

I recently bought this Method bodywash. Why? I think the words of my boyfriend sum it up nicely:

“I would buy that bodywash just for the bottle!”

You’d think that with such a snazzy bottle, the contents would be marginal. But you’d be wrong. The soap is silky smooth and smells delicious. The perfect bodywash? I think so.

Back in Connecticut now. It’s all downhill from here on out, folks. Until that sparkly day in May when I leave for India. Let the incense burn…let it burn.

I’ve been kickin it in NYC with Zak for the past two weeks. A nice relaxing spring break with a few beautiful spring days spent outside with everyone else in the city. Seriously, everyone. So worth it though. Now back to the grindstone for a month and a half, then India!

In just a few short months, I will be here, at Bija Vidyapeeth organic farm in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. Every day that I get closer to returning to India, the place where my heart truly belongs, I start to feel just a little more giddy. I feel like just in the past few days it has really started to be all I can think about; I finally received my passport in the mail a few days ago and sent off the application for my visa today. This is such a dream come true, to be able to work and live at such a magical place like Bija for two entire months. All I can do right now is daydream, hungrily pore over Cid Alledi‘s photo album, and burn copious amounts of incense, all the while blissfully gazing at my perfect, beautiful om tattoo. *Sigh* I cannot wait.
